Despite the hype, Adele’s concerts in Munich are not sold out. There are several reasons for the lack of rush.

Superstar Adele (35) is coming to Munich for ten concerts in August this year – these are her only gigs in Europe in 2024. The tickets should be sold out within a very short time, right? But that is apparently not the case. According to “The Sun”, thousands of tickets are still available – more than a month after advance sales began.

The British newspaper also gives a reason for the lack of a rush. Many fans are said to be afraid that the performances in Munich could be canceled. Finally, Adele recently had to cancel shows in Las Vegas for health reasons.

Fans are worried about Adele’s health

“Fans are hesitant to buy the tickets because they are worried about whether Adele will be healthy enough to play all the shows,” the British daily quoted a concert business source as saying. “People are following her very closely – and Adele has been quiet for a few weeks since she announced she was sick and taking a break,” the insider continued.

At the end of February, Adele canceled all performances of her Las Vegas residency planned for March. “I was sick at the end of the last stage and throughout my break,” she explained in a statement on Instagram at the time. “I hadn’t quite had a chance to fully recover before the shows started again and now I’m sick again and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice,” the Grammy winner continued. Her doctor pulled the emergency brake to preserve her voice in the long term.

High ticket prices as another reason

But the fans’ reluctance could also have other reasons. After all, pre-purchase for Munich was already slow before Adele postponed her March concerts. For some observers it is due to the sometimes steep prices for the tickets. The cheap seats have long been sold out. But the expensive cards, which cost up to 700 euros, remained lying around.

Adele is planning ten concerts in Munich between August 2nd and 31st. A pop-up stadium with space for 80,000 visitors is being built at the exhibition center in the Bavarian capital. A total of 800,000 spectators are expected.
