The British monarch is not shaken in her sense of duty. But now she follows the advice of her doctors and spares herself for a few days.

Queen Elizabeth II has canceled a planned trip to Northern Ireland for health reasons. “The Queen reluctantly accepted the medical advice to rest for the next few days,” said a statement from Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

The 95-year-old monarch is in good spirits, but disappointed that she cannot keep her appointments in Northern Ireland. The decision has nothing to do with Corona, the PA news agency reported, citing palace circles.

Last week there had been concerns about the Queen’s health when she showed up twice with a walking stick. However, the monarch’s calendar was still full. It wasn’t until Tuesday that she received business representatives in Windsor. At the beginning of November, the Queen wants – at least according to previous plans – to take part in the UN World Climate Conference in Glasgow.
