For the first time since the 19th century, a British royal is being cross-examined in court. For Prince Harry, the first of several appearances on the witness stand is now scheduled for Tuesday.

Prince Harry initially does not take part personally in a trial against the publisher of the newspaper “Daily Mirror” over allegations of spying. King Charles III’s son will not yet appear before the High Court on Monday, said his lawyer David Sherborne in the British capital. It was announced that Harry would testify personally – that is now expected for this Tuesday. The process began on May 10th.

The 38-year-old is expected to cross-examine details of the reporting in question, including his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

In the civil class action lawsuit against the publisher Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), the cases of Harry and other celebrities are being heard as an example. They accuse the journalists of having spied on them illegally. In particular, the focus is on how much the management level was involved in the practices.
