Adana president reveals Newcastle considering Balotelli transfer
His good performances in Turkey have made Mario Balotelli interesting again – also for Newcastle. That’s what his president revealed.
Newcastle United are interested in signing Mario Balotelli. Balotelli’s president at the Turkish first division club Adana Demirspor, Murat Sancak, the Turkish newspaper fanaticism reveal. “Newcastle United are considering signing Balotelli but haven’t made us an official offer yet,” he said.
There was also an offer from an Arab club for Balotelli. “We declined and said we have no intention of selling him,” said Sancak. 31-year-old Balotelli has been playing for Adana Demirspor since the summer, with whom he is tied until 2024. “There is an exit clause in his contract, but I can’t say the amount of that clause,” said Sancak.
Already twelve scorer points for Balotelli
The money should not fail if Newcastle is seriously interested after the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund has entered the Magpies as a financier. “Balotelli told me that he will not leave Adana Demirspor and would only do so if one day the president tells him he has to leave. But he won’t do it without making money for the club,” said Sancak .
With eight goals and four assists in 20 competitive games across all competitions Balotelli is currently showing strong performances for the team by coach Vincenzo Montella, who is surprisingly fourth in the Süper Lig.
