Your role portfolio is diverse. Felicity Jones’ special gift is to portray complex characters with great warmth.

Felicity Jones experienced the corona crisis as a return to the family. “We went through a compression,” she described her pandemic feeling to the German press agency at the end of last year.

“We have noticed that some of the simple things are worth more than the high speed of our lives and constant consumption,” said the British actress. She became a mother in April 2020. Today she turns 38.

Born in 1983 in Birmingham, her career took off ten years ago: her breakthrough came with the award-winning romantic indie drama “Like Crazy” (2011). She has been in the premier league of Hollywood stars since she appeared in the moving biopic “The Discovery of Infinity” (2014). She embodied the devoted, but at the same time self-confident wife of the astrophysicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne).

At the side of Tom Hanks she was seen as a damn smart doctor in the Dan Brown film adaptation of “Inferno” (2016) and in “Rogue One – A Star Wars Story” she tears up the sometimes hesitant men as the tough rebel Jyn Erso with to take up the fight against the Death Star.

The actress can currently be seen in “The Midnight Sky” alongside George Clooney on Netflix. She plays an astronaut who wants to return to earth after a long space mission, but which is destroyed after a catastrophe. The love film “A handful of words” is also running on Netflix, in which she is a young journalist who searches for the background to a forbidden relationship in the 1960s.
