Ten thousand, one hundred thousand, two hundred thousand – there is no upper limit for Telegram channels. Although Telegram is officially a messenger service similar to Whatsapp, some actors there can reach as many people as a mass medium. This is particularly problematic because Telegram is largely unregulated and conspiracy narratives, hatred and agitation can hit the audience unfiltered.
