Jared Leto hopes ‘brutal war’ will end soon

The Russia-Ukraine conflict also occupies Oscar winner Jared Leto – and not only since the outbreak of the war. He already mentioned the “dreamers” in Ukraine in his Oscar speech in 2014.
Hollywood actor Jared Leto hopes for a quick solution to the Ukraine war. “I have many Ukrainian friends, I have many Russian friends,” said the 50-year-old in an interview with the dpa.
“And it’s just a tragedy that these two countries, which have far more in common than differences, are locked in such a brutal war.” In the time we live in, there is no reason for such a thing. “I hope for a quick solution.”
Jared Leto, who won an Oscar in 2014 for his supporting role as a trans woman with AIDS in the drama “Dallas Buyers Club”, has previously campaigned for Ukraine. In his emotional Oscar acceptance speech, he paid tribute to the “dreamers” in Ukraine at the time: “We are here and as you struggle to make your dreams come true, to live the impossible, we are thinking of you tonight.”
In March of this year, after the start of the Russian attack in February, Leto held a live chat with people from Ukraine on Instagram and found out about the situation in the country.
