Anyone who has wanted to go to bed for a long time and then watched the next episode of a series knows it: cliffhangers.

As the night gets shorter and shorter, every series fan probably already has it Cursed cliffhanger at the end of every episode. Actor and filmmaker Florian David Fitz also has a clear opinion on this dramaturgical trick, which encourages you to keep watching: “In all the series that I have watched myself, I found it annoying at some point that they always want to keep you on the ball – from one At a certain point you just notice it,” said the 49-year-old to the German edition of “Playboy”.

The multi-award-winning actor, author and director (“My Crazy Turkish Wedding”, “Vincent Wants Meer”, “Weekend Rebels”), on the other hand, appreciates clear boundaries. “The luxury of an ending is something great because then you can tell much more exciting things,” he said.

Although this is often the case, Fitz does not see himself as a “young” actor. He “definitely doesn’t feel 30 anymore, you can already tell that the hardware is starting to show its limits.” He doesn’t know whether his young-at-heart impression is due to genetics or lifestyle.
