Actor Christian Oliver died Thursday in the crash of a private plane off the coast of the archipelago of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, local authorities announced. The plane had left the island of Bequia at midday and was supposed to go to that of Saint Lucia, according to the police.

Christian Oliver was 51 years old, and had numerous films and series under his belt, in Germany and in Hollywood. He notably played in the American series Saved by the Belland had supporting roles in big American productions like Speed Racer And Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny.
