A few weeks ago, the Swedish actor made his cancer diagnosis public. Now Dolph Lundgren is reporting with far nicer news.
In May, Dolph Lundgren shared a shocking diagnosis with the public: In the interview series “In Depth with Graham Besinger” he spoke for the first time about the fact that he has been battling cancer for the past eight years. A tumor was discovered in his kidney in 2015, and three years ago doctors found a cancerous growth in his liver that had already metastasized.
At that point, the “Rocky 4” star was told that the cancer was in the terminal stages and that he had two to three years to live. His prognosis is now looking better. Lundgren explained in May that an alternative treatment had shrunk the tumors.

The past few years have been difficult for him and his family, but they have also taught him a lot. “You just appreciate the luck of being alive and you are grateful for every moment that you get to experience,” said the Swedish actor in the interview. That’s why he didn’t want to wait any longer to say yes to his girlfriend Emma Krokdal. The couple got married, the American magazine “People” confirmed.
The 65-year-old had already asked for the hand of the 38-year-old Norwegian in 2020. “Because we both had Covid and have come a long way with challenging medical treatments, we’ve had to keep postponing our marriage plans,” Lundgren explained. Now is finally the right time to “celebrate love, life and happiness.”
The wedding took place at the couple’s villa in Mykonos, surrounded by family and a few close friends. Also present are Lundgren’s daughters Ida and Greta, who come from his marriage to designer Anette Qviberg. The Swede was married to her from 1994 to 2011.
