Accused of sexual assault, Illan Castronovo loses his trial against influencer Alix Desmoineaux

Illan Castronovo, ex-reality TV candidate, was dismissed on Friday by the Marseille criminal court when he had filed a complaint for defamation and slanderous insults against the influencer Alix Desmoineaux. Accused of sexual assault, the young man who made himself known on the small screen by participating in the “Marseillais” and the “Princes and princesses of love”, accused him of having delivered an interview in which she openly questioned.

“She described me so much that there was no need to give my name,” he said during the hearing on January 18. The judges decided otherwise, emphasizing the “vagueness” of the facts for which the person concerned had instituted proceedings.

Presented as “the ambassador of #metoo reality TV”, Alix Desmoineaux claimed in November 2021 on the Melty site to have watched a video in which a reality TV actor allegedly sexually assaulted a young woman, initially presented as a minor. The next day, she returned to the subject on the program “Touche pas à mon poste” but never mentioned the name of Illan Castronovono. Social media will take care of that.

“There are a lot of reality TV candidates, he felt targeted. For what ? »

Following these accusations, the reality TV actor would have been the target of insults on social networks and he would have been attacked in the street, in Lyon, where he lived, recalled his lawyer, Me Samuel Chicha. “Alix Desmoineaux never expressly targeted Mr. Castronovo in his interviews,” replied his lawyer Me Arié Alimi. “There are a lot of reality TV candidates, he felt targeted. For what ? Only he knows, even if I have a small idea, ”he added.

Illan Castronovo claimed 705,000 euros in damages, the amount of the television services that he would have been forced to cancel after his media questioning, as well as 10,000 euros in compensation for moral damage. “I lost everything, my honor, my job,” he lamented at the hearing. For her part, the influencer claimed 2,000 euros in damages for “abuse of civil action”. However, she was dismissed.
