During the preliminary investigation by the prosecution, the financial affairs department of the Cayenne hospital estimated the damage for the establishment at nearly 230,000 euros for the period from January 1, 2013 to April 2016 (salaries and social charges) . During her hearing, the senator, a member of the Rally of Democrats, Progressives and Independents (majority) in the upper house, affirmed that she had continued to work at the hospital “full-time in 2013, 2014 and partly in 2015”, according to this judicial source.
