Tragic accident on a highway in southern Spain: six people die in a truck accident. Prime Minister Sánchez expresses his condolences to the relatives.

Six people are involved in a traffic stop Spain hit by a truck and killed. The incident occurred on the AP-4 highway not far from Seville in the south of the country, state television broadcaster RTVE and other media reported, citing the Guardia Civil (Civil Guard) police unit.

The driver of the truck was traveling at high speed. Two police officers and four civilians were killed. In addition, three people were seriously injured.

The driver of the truck was uninjured and was arrested, it said. According to reports, the authorities assumed an accident that could possibly have been caused by the truck driver’s fatigue. The man had already tested negative for alcohol and drugs. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his solidarity with the victims’ families on X, formerly Twitter.
