An 18-year-old lost control of his car late on Saturday night. Looking for a second driver.
In a suspected race, a driver in Aachen caused a collision in which four people were injured. The 18-year-old had apparently lost control of his car late on Saturday evening at high speed, as the police announced on Sunday.
At an intersection, he crashed into two uninvolved cars that were waiting at a red light. Two female passengers aged 55 and 58 suffered serious injuries, and according to the police, there was no risk of death.
A 53-year-old and the 24-year-old co-driver of the person who caused the accident were slightly injured. The police estimate the property damage at around 40,000 euros.
As witnesses stated, the 18-year-old and a second, unknown driver had already been noticed with their cars. Before the crossing both should have accelerated strongly. The car and the driver’s license of the 18-year-old were confiscated.
The police are looking for the second driver who fled the intersection after the accident.
