Car lands in fjord – floating sauna comes to the rescue

An electric car crashes into the Oslofjord. The rescuers rush to the scene with an unusual vehicle.
A floating sauna is in the fjord Oslo was the rescue for two occupants of a sinking electric car. The two people freed themselves from the sinking car on Thursday afternoon, climbed onto the roof and called for help, as seen in an eyewitness video published by the Norwegian tabloid Verdens Gang.
The sauna boat, which was nearby, came to their aid. The sauna visitors pulled the two out of the ice-cold water, as the police confirmed on the X platform, formerly Twitter. There were no other people in the water.
The car sank completely. According to police, it is still unclear why it ended up in the fjord. The driver told “Verdens Gang” that he thought the car was parked when he hit the accelerator. He and the other occupant remained uninjured – and after the incident the two were able to warm up in the sauna, as the driver of the sauna boat told the newspaper.
