Car crashed into river: Fire brigade frees driver

The cause of the accident is still unclear. The fact is, however, that a woman in Hagen drove off the road and plunged her car into a river.
A woman drove her car off the road in Hagen and fell several meters into a river. Rescue workers had the driver after The fire department said those in the accident were freed from their car on Saturday morning. She was treated on site and taken to a hospital. According to police, the woman is 79 years old.
The police took over the investigation into the cause of the accident. An internal emergency cannot be ruled out, said a spokeswoman. According to the fire department, the woman broke through a railing with her car before falling into the depths and landing on the roof in the Volme.
