The bridge is still relatively new – and yet it collapses. At this moment there are two cars on it.

A bridge nearly 150 meters long collapsed in Norway on Monday. A car and a truck that were on the wooden bridge at the time of the accident partially slid into the water. The two drivers are doing well, said a police spokesman for the German Press Agency.

The person in the car was able to free himself. The truck driver was rescued by helicopter. The bridge in Øyer municipality north of Lillehammer is still relatively new, the spokesman said. At first he couldn’t say why it collapsed.
