A curious accident happened on Tuesday afternoon between Aßling and Straußdorf. At around 3:30 p.m., the rescue workers were alerted that a vehicle had left State Road 2080 and driven into a neighboring pond. The reason why the driver apparently did not take the curve and instead drove a few meters across a meadow and through a wood into the pond is unclear, a health reason seems possible. The casualty was apparently lucky in the accident, according to the fire brigade and BRK, who pulled the man out of the icy water with a ladder, he was responsive.
