Accident in Vaterstetten: motorcyclist crashes into trucks – Ebersberg

A 30-year-old motorcyclist who was hit by a truck in Vaterstetten was lucky in misfortune. The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m. at the Carl-Orff-Straße/Dorfstraße intersection. According to the police, the 54-year-old truck driver from Germering simply turned off there, even though the motorcyclist had the right of way. He couldn’t react in time and crashed into the back of the truck.

The collision threw the man off his machine, but he was only slightly injured thanks to the protective gear. To be on the safe side, he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The motorcycle was badly damaged in the collision and had to be towed away. Officials estimate the damage at around $3,000. Because of the accident, the crossing had to be completely closed by the Vaterstetten fire department.
