A coach with around 60 school children from Belgium drove into a traffic safety trailer in Middle Franconia – there were several minor injuries. The Autobahn 3 was completely closed in both directions after the accident early Wednesday morning between Höchstadt Nord and Schlüsselfeld, the police said. The driver of the bus was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The rescue service treated five slightly injured children on site, the other occupants were unharmed, according to the police.
The bus was on the way back from a school trip when it drove into the parked traffic safety trailer on the A3 towards Würzburg in the construction site area. After the accident, the children found shelter in a nearby sports hall.
According to the police, the bus is now born. The lane in the direction of Regensburg has been released again, the blocking in the direction of Würzburg will continue for a while. It was initially unclear how the accident happened.
