Several shots were fired this Saturday evening, at 9:50 p.m., rue Thomas-Blanchet, in the Transvaal district (Lyon 8), reports Progress. A bullet hit a 22-year-old woman who was leaving her home to take her car and go to a friend’s house, according to her testimony. Touched in the groin, she was transported to the hospital where her vital prognosis was engaged, before her condition improved.
Targeted or collateral victim?
Witnesses reported seeing two individuals fleeing on foot, one of them holding a gun. The young woman is known to the police for shoplifting and damage, again according to Progress. It is not yet clear that she was knowingly targeted by the shots, or if she found herself a collateral victim. The Lyon public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation for intentional homicide.
