A woman sentenced to three years in prison for having seduced and defrauded fifteen men



A 49-year-old woman was sentenced to three years in prison as well as the revocation of a six-month suspension with continued detention by the Béziers criminal court. She was found guilty of theft, fraud and counterfeiting or forging checks, committed in August 2019 and January 2021.

“Fifteen people were victims of his actions”, explains the public prosecutor of Béziers, Raphaël Balland. They were “mainly men whom she seduced before stealing from them and fraudulently using their means of payment. The overall damage to the victims amounted to more than 30,000 euros. “

In a state of legal recidivism

Arrested on May 25 by the gendarmes of Cazouls-lès-Béziers, she was presented to the prosecution the next day and placed in pre-trial detention by the judge of freedoms and detention, pending trial.

Already sentenced ten times between 2006 and 2020, in particular for facts of the same nature, she was in a state of legal recidivism.
