The man would have fallen into the sea. Witnesses quickly alerted the firefighters around 10:45 am. Less than a quarter of an hour later, the man was recovered by a jet-ski maneuvered by the emergency services. Hoisted aboard a speedboat of the SNSM which he brought back to land, the victim was the subject of an intense cardiac massage. In vain. The septuagenarian is deceased. Originally from the Orleans region, he was on vacation in Brittany with his wife.

Another serious accident took place the same day in the nearby town of Saint-Malo. A woman in her sixties was rescued after falling into the sea near Bon Secours beach. She was transported in serious condition to the Saint-Malo hospital center. According to West France, she was walking on rocks when she was struck by a wave. The Ille-et-Vilaine prefecture recalled that it was strongly discouraged to walk on the coast in the event of a gust of wind.

Placed in yellow vigilance to the strong winds and floods on Saturday, Brittany suffered gusts of more than 100 km / h. About 9,000 homes were deprived of electricity on Saturday.
