“The principle of the universe is in every mountain.” Actually, one only wanted to know why Abdullah Ibrahim, as a South African and former New York exile, feels so at home in the Bavarian Chiemgau of all places. But you shouldn’t think of an interview with him as a linear conversation, just as his piano recitals don’t follow the usual structures.
