A 22-year-old student was arrested on the night of Wednesday to Thursday near a university residence in the Rangueil campus, in Toulouse, and placed in police custody for “violence and sexual assault”.
Police were alerted by an 18-year-old student. According to her account, she passed the suspect around 1 a.m. on a staircase in the building. He grabbed her by the shoulder and put his hand on her buttocks. Another young girl tried to intervene and, in the altercation that followed, the aggressor grabbed her hair in particular, pulling out a large amount of hair from a police source.
When arrested by a crew of the Specialized Field Brigade (BST), the suspect appeared in a trance, probably due to the influence of narcotics. He was still in custody this Friday morning.
