A supporter sentenced for entering the lawn in the middle of a match

He burst for a few seconds on the lawn of Beaujoire in full offensive action of the Canaries, a few minutes from the end of the match which opposed them Friday evening to OM (1-1), creating some confusion.

A 42-year-old Nantes supporter was sentenced to a 90-day fine of 12 euros (i.e. 1,080 euros to be paid within three months), reports this Monday evening the public prosecutor of Nantes, Renaud Gaudeul.

A year and a half stadium ban

The man, who had been taken into custody on Friday evening after being evacuated from the field, also received a ban from the stadium for a year and a half, as part of a procedure to appear on prior admission of guilt.

According to the newspaper West France, the supporter, who jumped from the Loire stand, had a blood alcohol level of 1.84 g at the time of his arrest. The incident, which was not the only one during this evening, had not caused any interruption of play.
