This Thursday, no article bearing the face of the young victim was listed on the Redbubble site. But many screenshots of objects (cushions, clocks, coasters) with the infamous face of Lola are circulating on social networks.
Since the images could be tampered with, we have contacted Redbubble to confirm that these items are on sale. The French branch of the company declined to comment on the facts: ” Redbubble is a global marketplace where more than one million independent artists upload artistic creations and sell consumer products printed with their arts. To understand how these objects could have ended up online, you should know that Redbubble is a platform that allows independent artists and creators to offer their work, visual creations, for sale on different media (cups, boxes, cushions, etc.). ) It is then the company that is responsible for editing and manufacturing these objects, then delivering them.
A bot behind the publications?
Also, it is possible to offer many visuals, and their origin or meaning are only rarely verified by the site, as evidenced by the many works or logos, normally protected by copyright, which are offered on the site.
One of the profiles that offered the face of Lola, also puts on sale objects that bear the faces of Zyed Benna and Bouna Traoré, the two young people who died electrocuted in Clichy-sous-Bois in 2005 after being chased by police .
