“We got a puppy, Murphy, during the Covid-19 period and living in the city center, I noticed that it was complicated to clean his animal, says the smiling entrepreneur We don’t necessarily have a bathtub or room to shower them especially when you have a large dog. It is a hassle “. The observation established, the one who worked in marketing decides to launch in 2023 and to open her Maskotte shop. In this new store, you can find everything to pamper your furry animals: toys, food, accessories and above all a “bathroom” corner.
Professional equipment
“This concept is not new, but there was none in the city center,” explains the manager. “Plus, with inflation, not everyone can afford to take their dog to the groomer every week.”
In its grooming area, Flovia then offers professional equipment that you can use for an hour by reservation. From shampoo to dryer, everything is available to canine owners.
If the customers are delighted with this new “very practical” service a stone’s throw from the Toulouse gardens, the dogs, who prefer to roam in the parks, continue to grimace in this self-service shower. “In general, people are happy and the dogs more worried… But we always find a way to reassure them. A client had brought a bowl to hang up to calm her Dalmatian during her toilet, for example”.
Self-service but not free
When you love, you don’t count… It’s well known. Especially for dogs when you know that the France is the third country to spend the most for man’s best friend. And at Maskotte, if the shower is self-service, it is, however, not free. It takes around twenty euros for a one-hour bath, depending on the hair and weight, and around ten euros for a half-hour brushing. A price that includes cleaning by the manager, grooming products and the price of water, in particular.
Flovia Busato, in addition to its store of its medium and high-end products for sale and its self-service shower, also intends to offer bi-monthly workshops to complete the offer “of support for owners of cats and dogs in the center -city “.
