A second complaint filed by the family of another injured

The Rennes prosecutor’s office confirms that a new complaint for “attempted murder” and “impeding rescue” was filed this Wednesday by the family of M, a young man aged 34 still in a coma after the clashes which took place near the construction site of a mega basin, a controversial water reservoir intended for agricultural irrigation this Saturday, March 25.

We learned this morning a first complaint against X for the same facts had been filed by the family of a protester whose life is in danger. They are the parents of S, a 30-year-old protester from Toulouse.

More in danger of death, but still in a coma

According to the authorities, M arrived on Saturday evening conscious at the Poitiers University Hospital but his condition deteriorated during the night. According to the report of the prefect of Deux-Sèvres, “no request for help was made (concerning him) neither to SDIS 79 nor to the SAMU”. This Tuesday during his assessment of the injured, the collective “Bassines non merci” specified that he had been hit in the trachea and added: “his vital prognosis is no longer engaged, but he is still in a coma”.

The conditions in which S was taken care of by the emergency services in Sainte-Soline, then airlifted to the hospital in Poitiers, have fueled a lively controversy since elected officials and observers from the Human Rights League, present on places, denounced “several cases of obstacles by the police to the intervention of the relief workers”.
