A gendarme killed his three children at his home in Vémars (Val-d’Oise) this Sunday afternoon before committing suicide, AFP learned from the prosecutor’s office, confirming information from the Parisian. The soldier killed his three daughters, born in 2013, 2016 and 2018, said the Pontoise prosecutor’s office, in “a complicated family context”. The bodies were found by two fellow gendarmes.
The mother of the three girls, in a state of shock, was taken care of by the emergency services, indicates the prosecution without being able to specify whether she was at the home. The investigation was entrusted to the Versailles Research Section.
The soldier was assigned to the air transport brigade (BGTA) at Roissy airport.
