A motorist was killed by a police officer who used his weapon after refusing to comply early Wednesday morning in Angoulême, Charente, we learned from the prosecution.
The policeman was slightly injured in the legs during this intervention, said Stéphanie Aouine, public prosecutor in Angoulême. The facts occurred around 4 a.m. near Saint-Yrieix-sur-Charente, in the suburbs of Angoulême.
Many police vehicles were still there in the morning.
