I’m a fan but it’s not good to take pictures of strangers without permission and as an Asian woman I feel particularly uncomfortable with this photo,” one user wrote reproachfully. “Please don’t take pictures of girls like this and apologize,” reads one angry demand. Many other fans react with astonishment to the photo. What Gnabry wanted to achieve with the publication initially remained his secret.
