A participant dies on the Endurance Trail des Templiers

The big trail family and more particularly that of the Templars are deeply saddened. A runner from theEndurance Trail of the Templars (Aveyron) died this Friday on this pioneering event on the great French trails, indicates the organization in a press release: “The Templars are very sad to announce the death of one of their runners on the Endurance Trail. »

The participant, “accustomed to this type of distance”, set off in the early morning for a race of 104 km and 4,550 m of elevation gain. It was upon arriving at Mas Biau, shortly before 12:30 p.m., that she suffered a cardiac arrest at the 45th kilometer. “The emergency teams on site then immediately intervened, but despite the rapid arrival of a chartered helicopter, the doctor dispatched to the site could only note the death,” confides Odile Baudrier, organizer of the event.

This is the first time, in 29 editions, that the Templars have faced the loss of one of their competitors.
