The “Rock anti wokism” concert took place in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, half an hour southeast of Lyon in the north of Isère, she said, confirming information from the regional daily Le Dauphiné Libéré.
Following articles announcing the holding of this concert around Lyon, the prefectures of Rhône and Isère adopted decrees on Saturday to ban it in the two departments, in order to prevent “disruptions to public order “. The concert, whose organizers “participate assiduously in the neo-Nazi music promotion network”, could “give rise to remarks inciting racial hatred” and “to the apology of crimes committed by the Nazis during the Second World War, in particular the Shoah”, according to the two texts.
200 to 300 people
According to Le Dauphiné Libéré, 200 to 300 people still attended the event in a restaurant rented for private evenings on the weekend. Its manager assured the newspaper that he had been “trapped” and condemned the concert “in the content, form or attendance”.
The organizers face six months’ imprisonment and a fine of 7,500 euros, the participants a fourth-class fine, if they are identified.
