A 17-year-old teenager was taken into police custody in an investigation into a woman found with her throat slit on Wednesday at her home in the Bois-Blancs district of Lille, two sources close to the case said on Thursday. Facts that the Lille public prosecutor’s office was not able to confirm.
The arrested teenager, who has no established address, “was unfavorably known to the police,” said one of the sources close to the case. The first elements of the investigation did not make it possible to establish links between the victim, aged 68, and the suspect, said this source.
The neighbor comes face to face with the suspect
According to a police source, the police were alerted by a neighbor of the victim who had heard screams and found herself face to face with the attacker. On site, the police found the woman with her lower body naked and her throat slit, this source said.
