A meeting of Éric Zemmour’s party canceled in Ille-et-Vilaine after damage

A meeting that falls into the water. On Wednesday evening, the activists of Reconquest, the party of Éric Zemmour, had planned to gather for a public meeting at the Le Phare business center in Saint-Coulomb, near Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine). Stanislas Rigault, the president of Generation Z, was to intervene in particular during this meeting where 450 supporters of Éric Zemmour were expected less than two months before the first round of the presidential election.

The mayor of Saint-Coulomb finally decided to cancel the meeting after damage to the communal hall. During the night of Monday to Tuesday, messages hostile to the far-right candidate were tagged on the facade of the building. Stones were also thrown at the windows of the room.

An investigation, entrusted to the gendarmerie of Cancale, was opened to try to identify the author or the authors of these degradations.
