A man whose “description corresponds” to Marc Floris was found dead this late Tuesday morning, the gendarmerie announced.
Marc Floris, 33, suspected of having killed a young woman on Sunday in a town overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, was tracked down by nearly 200 gendarmes in the mountains surrounding the village of Gréolières, where he was entrenched. The hypothesis of a suicide seems to be privileged.
The searches promised to be complicated in “a large area” with “complicated relief”, dotted with nearly 90 caves, woods and rivers, explained the colonel of the gendarmerie in charge of the operation.
End of the hunt in the Alpes-Maritimes: thank you to the gendarmes, as well as to all the state services which have been mobilized in recent hours to search for the fugitive suspected of having killed a woman in the Var. @ prefet06 @Gendarmerie
