An explosion sounded late Wednesday afternoon in the market square in Trignac near Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique). Arrived on the spot a little after 5.30 p.m., the emergency services took charge of a 50-year-old man who had tried to end his life by lighting the gas inside his motorhome, we learned from the firefighters.
Suffering from burns, the 50-year-old was transported to the Saint-Nazaire University Hospital. A dog, which was also inside the motorhome, was transferred to the Pornichet veterinary unit. Blown by the explosion, the vehicle did not however catch fire, specify the firefighters, who mobilized fourteen agents on the intervention.
