A man says he was abducted and held for a week for a debt

A 25-year-old man was released by police officers from the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC) on October 2, after having, he says, kidnapped and held captive for a week in an apartment in Montpellier (Hérault). ), has learned 20 minutes this Monday evening with the police. On the site, the young man indicated that he was kidnapped by two individuals, in an apartment, for a debt of money, several thousand euros. Dispatched to the scene, the police made contact, at the foot of the residence, with the girlfriend of the victim, who confirmed that her companion told her that he was being kidnapped. The young man could, in fact, communicate with his relatives, under the supervision of one of the suspects.

A Kalashnikov behind the couch

Two men, suspected of being the kidnapper and the landlord, were arrested the same day, as they left the building, by BAC police officers. During the search of the apartment, a Kalashnikov was found behind a sofa, as well as cartridges, an automatic pistol magazine and 1,700 euros in cash.

The victim explained to the police that she had been tracked for several weeks for a debt he would never have heard of. On September 24, the man said he was struck in the skull and forced into a car. During his week of captivity, he would have agreed to take out consumer loans, and would have collected money from his entourage, to reimburse her. To the police, the man suspected of having lodged the victim assured that she was not really sequestered, and that she had the possibility of leaving the premises.
