a man prosecuted after the violence at the Banana Shed

After the violent attacks that occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday on the Chantiers mall, near the Banana Hangar, on Nantes Island, a 21-year-old man was tried on Monday afternoon in immediate appearance. That night, around 4 a.m., two students returning from the evening on foot were attacked and robbed of their personal property by six people.

Hit several times, notably by a cutter, the two friends suffered injuries to the face and thorax. Half an hour later, in the same area, this time it was a man and a woman who had been attacked and stripped of a necklace.

Already convicted for the same facts

Alerted by the CCTV camera viewing center, the police quickly arrested six suspects. Their involvement could not be formally established, except for one of them, recognized by the victims as having participated in the two attacks.

Already convicted several times for acts of theft and violence despite his young age, he will return to prison. The Nantes criminal court sentenced him to four years in prison on Monday.
