A man killed at the Bercy metro station

A man was killed on Saturday night at the Bercy station from the Paris metro, after a fight with another man, for a still unknown reason, we learned this Sunday from corroborating sources. At around 10:20 p.m. a fight broke out between these two men on the platforms of line 6, said a police source. “One stabbed the other,” she explained. The latter “defended himself”, “threw” the suspect onto the tracks and the brawl continued.

The man carrying the weapon, who was on the tracks and the victim on the platform, then gave him “a second stab in the abdomen”, added this source. The suspect, born in 1992 and of Sudanese nationality according to a source close to the investigation, was arrested by the RATP Network Protection and Security Group (GPSR).

The identity of the victim was not yet known. An investigation was opened for “intentional homicide”, and the investigations entrusted to the 2nd district of the Paris judicial police (2nd DPJ), according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
