“A madness”: Sudden run on the Zornedinger unpacked shop – Ebersberg

Sometimes you just have to formulate wishes very specifically, and then, as if by a miracle, they come true: in September, the unpackaged shop in Zorneding was on the verge of closure. The shop, which is run by the cooperative “Deine Alternative”, turned to the public with an appeal for donations: The costs of the shop could no longer be borne. Now, two months later, the wish has come true. “It was crazy,” says Alexandra Skeide from “Deine Alternative”. Shortly after the call for donations, more and more people came to the store. Skeide reports an average of 25 more customers a day: “In terms of sales, October was the second best for the unpackaged shop since it was founded.”

In addition to the new customers, Alexandra Skeide also attributes the run to the fact that the members of the cooperative have become more active again. Many would come more regularly. But many older customers also approached the partners and assured them that they could not imagine closing the shop. Almost a third of the targeted donation goal of 10,000 euros has already been reached: According to Skeide, private individuals have donated 3,109 euros in the past few weeks. This money will be used for advertising measures, for example flags designed and sewn, which will be hung in the windows of the unpackaged shop and then be seen from the S-Bahn. The donated money will also be used for more color in the sales rooms and for the expansion of the children’s play area.

However, the sigh of relief is only temporary. “We are still at attention,” says Alexandra Skeide. But one hopes that the unpackaged store will continue as it has in the past few weeks.
