Weeks before she left at the end of September, Erika von Mutius, 66, had everything in order. Bianca Schaub will take over the management of the asthma and allergy center at the Hauner Children’s Hospital. The evaluation of her Martha study, which aims to prove the importance of cow’s milk against allergies and respiratory diseases, is now pending. Mutius will continue his research at the Helmholtz Institute. The professor of paediatrics would like to develop another drug with her team. That would be the icing on the cake of her career.
