A large-scale cannabis seizure was made on Wednesday, November 17 in a garage in the United States district in Lyon, reveals Progress. It contained 160 kg of cannabis resin, more than 25,000 euros in cash and a handgun.
The owner is the brother of a member of the Dalton in custody for organizing a rodeo that turned into a chase with the authorities on October 23.
On the trail of sabotaged cameras
This major seizure follows an investigation dating back to last July into the sabotage of seven pylons carrying CCTV cameras in the Mermoz district. Two suspects had been identified, Dalton’s 25-year-old brother and an 18-year-old man living in Mermoz.
Both were taken into custody in the cameras case, then the man suspected of trafficking was remanded in custody, with adjournment of the judgment in December. A new investigation for drug trafficking has been entrusted to the judicial police.
