A hundred people evacuated following a fire at the faculty of dental surgery

The fire alarm sounded on Wednesday at the faculty of dental surgery from Paul-Sabatier University in Toulouse. And it was not a drill. Around 10:30 a.m., the firefighters were alerted to a fire starting on a terrace of the higher education establishment, located on chemin des maraichers.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the spark would have left an expansion joint following sealing work. Quickly, a hundred students and staff members were evacuated from the building concerned. Among them, one person was the victim of a slight poisoning due to the smoke fumes. She was taken care of by the rescuers.

At the end of the morning, the head of the faculty, the police, as well as 25 firefighters were still on site.
