A hundred firefighters engaged in a violent fire

A violent fire broke out at the Fos-sur-Mer ore terminal, firefighters announced. The fire “of unknown origin” took this morning around 6 am in a pile of 20,000 tons of wood chips.

A hundred firefighters and nearly 50 vehicles are engaged against this disaster that the firefighters are trying to contain, to prevent it from spreading to the surrounding vegetation, to other buildings and from consuming the entire stock. The operations should last several hours or even days.
