A high school files a complaint against La Cocarde for a “defamatory” tweet after the arrival of SOS Méditerranée

“Yesterday at the Dupuy de Lôme high school in Lorient, an hour of geopolitics lessons was replaced by a mandatory intervention by SOS Méditerranée to make pro-immigration propaganda!!! And all in inclusive writing! “. Posted on Twitter on Friday February 3 by the La Cocarde lycée group, this short text was the subject of a complaint from the school. According to West Francea message was sent to all the parents of students at the Lorient high school to defend “a civic education educational session in conjunction with an association approved by the National Education”.

The session in question was led by the association SOS Méditerranée, known for helping migrants trying to cross the sea to reach Europe. Often targeted by far-right parties, the NGO came to present its activities to high school students as part of an hour of civic education.

Leaflets distributed in the fall

An intervention that was not to the taste of one of the students, who alerted the La Cocarde movement to which he is close. Describing itself as “the new right”, the far-right movement had already been noticed a few months ago distributing leaflets inviting to “stop LGBTQI + delusions” in front of the Lorient high school.
