A gendarme from the departmental group of Pyrénées-Atlantiques was sentenced on October 3 to three months in prison suspended for forgery and use of forgery by the criminal court of Pau, relate South West. He had illegally consulted the phone records of his companion, to detect the trace of a potential lover. Qualified as a “good professional” moreover, he wrote a false document allowing him to access the telephone bills, thus using his power as a policeman for private purposes.
According to South West, the soldier would have admitted the facts during the investigation. The victim, who had filed a complaint, did not constitute a civil party in this case.
