According to information from Provence, a 48-year-old professional fisherman was found dead in the Etang de Berre off Martigues, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, on Monday afternoon. The man was a passenger on a sinking fishing boat.
Another man was on this boat, and was able to be rescued. For this operation coordinated by Cross Med, my firefighters from Bouches-du-Rhône were called to the scene, as well as the battalion of marine firefighters from Marseille, two boats from the SNSM and a helicopter from Civil Security.
