Twelve people were indicted, including six remanded in custody, after the dismantling of drug trafficking in Verdun (Meuse), the prosecutor’s office said on Friday. During two phases of arrests and searches, a first on April 19 on two deal points in Verdun and a second on April 20 in Metz (Moselle), 737 g of heroin and 48 g of cocaine were seized as well as eight weapons including a shotgun, more than 15,000 euros in cash, six vehicles and 24 mobile phones, detailed in a press release Sofian Saboulard, acting public prosecutor of Verdun.

“In total, the judicial operation will have mobilized more than 200 soldiers,” said Sofian Saboulard, also prosecutor of Bar-le-Duc. The investigation made it possible to establish “the existence of a structured organization whose heads of network operated from the town of Metz and supplied cannabis, cocaine and heroin to the two Verdun deal points held by armed individuals”, a detailed the prosecutor.

At one of these points of sale, “from 150 to 220 daily consumer visits” were counted, representing daily sales of up to 6,000 euros.
